Grace Mueller

The College of Charleston Surf Club is a school-sponsored social organization that promotes students getting together for surfing and beach outings. The club advocates for surfing as a fun, social, and challenging water sport. The image mark is a playful drawing of a palmetto tree. Palmettos are seen throughout the Charleston area (both in the city and at the beach) and are a symbol of Charleston and South Carolina. The typeface was chosen for its relaxed, chunky structure and slightly distressed surface. The image mark and word mark can each stand on their own in various formats such as print, social media, stickers, hats, tee shirts, motion graphics and video.
